Kloska Group invests in Rostock despite Corona pandemic

The Kloska Group, an owner-managed family business from Bremen, is investing in locations in Rostock despite the ongoing Corona pandemic. On 31.12.2021, the contract for the cancellation of a heritable building right was concluded between Rostock Port GmbH and Schiffsversorgung Rostock GmbH (SVR). SVR will leave the property in Goedeke-Michels-Straße in Rostock’s overseas port on 31 December 2021 and hand it over to ROSTOCK PORT GmbH. The port operator will develop the land, which is attractively located in relation to berth 50 and the ferry traffic facilities, for sea handling in the following years. ROSTOCK PORT welcomes the step of the Kloska Group to strengthen its position at the Rostock location and to continuously expand the range of services for the customers of the overseas port. For this purpose, ROSTOCK PORT has sold a 15,000m² plot of land in the Brückenweg industrial estate to SVR, which is conveniently located both to the Rostock interchange and to the overseas port.

New building in Brückenweg

A warehouse with showroom and salesroom for general technical needs and technical marine equipment is currently being built on this plot.

Expansion of the location in Rostock’s fishing harbour

ROFIA Kloska GmbH, based in Rostock’s fishing harbour (Zum Kühlhaus 5), will add a 2000m² hall with modern logistics and storage facilities to the existing 3500m² hall with 800m² offices and sales room. In addition to technical ship equipment, this hall will primarily house the provisions department of Schiffsversorgung Rostock GmbH.

DMR Kloska Technik GmbH moves to Langenort

DMR Kloska Technik GmbH, which also belongs to the Kloska Group, is moving into an office and workshop building in Langenort directly on the Warnow. This building is currently undergoing modern and extensive renovation and refurbishment. Repairs to ship engines and components are carried out at this location. The worldwide supply of spare parts for the shipping company’s fleet is also carried out from Langenort. The organisation of the assignments of the service technicians and mechanics working worldwide also takes place there.

The Kloska Group has been located in Rostock since 1993 and employs around 180 people at its various sites there. A total of 5.5 million euros will be invested.
