Despite Covid-19 we continue to train - Kloska Group welcomes 18 new trainees

On 3 August 2020, 18 new apprentices started their professional future in the companies of the Kloska Group. This year everything is different. Normally, all new trainees are welcomed in Hamburg at Basté & Lange GmbH on the occasion of the “Trainee Welcome Day” by Managing Director Nadine Kloska. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and the associated legal rules and regulations, it was decided not to hold the Welcome Day centrally on a large scale. Instead, alternative programmes were organised at the individual locations. At Schiffsversorgung Rostock GmbH, for example, there was a small common event for all Rostock trainees.

“We are pleased to be able to welcome a large number of trainees again in this year, which is so challenging for all of us, who dare to start their professional life in the companies of the Kloska Group. We have been a reliable trainer for years and offer young people apprenticeships with good future prospects. Training and promotion of young people are the central principles of our corporate philosophy”, says Nadine Kloska.

A large proportion of the “newcomers” will complete training as wholesale and foreign trade management assistants, while a smaller group will complete training as warehouse logistics specialists. Two trainees will start their training as industrial mechanics. Of the 18 trainees, eight will be trained in Rostock, four in Leer, three in Bremerhaven, two in Bremen and one in Emden.
